Unfortunately, some people haven’t had my success with Facebook. Many out there struggling to get started, and unfortunately, many of them fail.
It’s such a common problem, that it’s worth telling you why most Facebook advertising doesn’t work.
There are three main reasons why people fail at Facebook advertising:
#1: They don’t have a clear goal.
If you are going to succeed on Facebook you have to have a clear goal. Most advertisers miss this key step.
#2: They don’t have a consistent, workable sales process.
To turn a visitor into a fan and then into a customer is a process. Many advertisers don’t have a workable process in place to make that happen.
#3: Their ad doesn’t work.
Some types of ads work on Facebook, some do not. Most advertisers just don’t know how to put together simple, compelling ads and then refine them as time goes on to become more and more effective.
But using these 3 easy steps, you can effortlessly get your Facebook ads working for you.
Step 1: Get Clear on Your Ad Outcome
Think of what you want to promote in the ad and what you want people to do when they see your ad.
What do you want to promote in the ad? Lead Gen? More Likes? Direct Sales?
What do you want people to do when they see your ad? meaning, where do you want them to go or what do you want them to do?
Think in terms of strategy here . . .
Step 2: Set Up Your Ad Funnel
Once you know your ad goal, you now know what you want to promote and where you want to send people when they click the ad. Now its time to build this out.
If you want to keep people inside of FB, send them to a custom app and make sure that custom app is optimized to ensure high conversions.
If it is a site outside of Facebook, make sure it is aligned with what you are promoting in the ad and is completely focused, meaning there are not multiple options on your website where they can click.
Get laser focused and make sure people know what to do when they land on your site.
Step 3: Create the Ad and Track It
A compelling image is key to your ad’s success. Choose an image that you know your audience will gravitate toward.
Focus on your audience targeting: Who are you going to target? New fans? Existing fans? Know as much as you can about their likes, interest and where they spend their time that way you can laser focused on the people that matter most to your brand.
Identify your budget decide in advance how much you want to spend right out of the gate so you can stay on target.
Track your ad to make sure you are getting the results you are after conversions are important here!
